In a decisive action against terrorism, the police attached the property of terrorist handler Nazir Ahmad Ganai in Palpora village of Kralgund, Handwara, today. This operation aligns with ongoing efforts to dismantle the terror ecosystem in the region, ensuring peace and security for its residents.
Police confirmed that the property attachment links back to FIR No. 73/2011 registered at Police Station Kralgund. Investigations revealed that Ganai, a Palpora resident currently active from Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), played a pivotal role in steering terror activities in the area.
The police spokesperson stated, “Following due legal procedures and obtaining sanctions from the competent authority, Ganai’s land in Palpora was attached in the presence of police and revenue officials.” This highlights the legal measures taken to counter terror financing and support structures.
Authorities emphasize that this action reflects their steadfast commitment to dismantling operational networks of terrorism. By targeting handlers and anti-national elements like Ganai, the police aim to deter unlawful activities that threaten societal peace.
The police appeal to the local community for cooperation in maintaining order, asserting that any support for anti-national elements will attract strict legal action. Such cooperation remains crucial for fostering a secure environment in Handwara.
In a related effort, local law enforcement continues to monitor areas known for terrorist activity, including villages that have been susceptible to radicalization. Community engagement and awareness initiatives will also play a vital role in curbing the spread of misinformation which could support these networks.
The police’s rigorous stance against terrorism in Handwara showcases a broader strategy to uphold national security and protect citizens. As authorities intensify their operations against terrorism, residents can expect more proactive measures aimed at peaceful coexistence.
