RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav announced on Tuesday that the INDIA bloc’s poll manifesto aims to transform Bihar into the number one state in India. Speaking to reporters ahead of the launch, he described the manifesto as a vision document detailing the coalition’s roadmap for the state’s growth.
“We have a vision for the state and a comprehensive plan,” Yadav stated. He noted that the manifesto would also be referred to as the ‘Tejashwi Pran Patra’ (Tejashwi’s Resolution Document), emphasizing a commitment to policy and progress.
The opposition coalition’s manifesto is set to be unveiled later in the afternoon, marking a significant moment in the lead-up to the elections.
In his statement, Yadav took a jab at the ruling NDA, criticizing its inability to declare a chief ministerial candidate or release a manifesto. “We have announced our CM face ahead of the polls and are releasing our manifesto today. What about the NDA? They have neither declared their CM candidate nor released their manifesto. They simply copy our promises,” he remarked, reflecting the opposition’s strategy.
Yadav did not hold back in his criticism of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He accused both leaders of failing to deliver on their promises and improving the lives of Bihar’s residents. “Whenever the PM comes to Bihar, he only abuses opposition leaders and engages in negative politics,” Yadav alleged, urging voters to consider the track record of the current administration.
The upcoming election will witness Bihar’s 243-member Assembly going to the polls in two phases on November 6 and November 11. The counting of votes and declaration of results will occur on November 14, marking a crucial period for both the ruling and opposition parties.
Yadav’s vision for a prosperous Bihar, as articulated in the forthcoming manifesto, seeks to resonate with voters who aspire for progress and development. The INDIA bloc positions itself as a viable alternative, aiming to decode the needs of the electorate amidst the political turmoil.
