LG Manoj Sinha chairs Unified Headquarters meeting at Raj Bhavan

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will chair a crucial Unified Headquarters (UHQ) meeting today, Friday, at Raj Bhavan in Srinagar. The meeting is set to start at 11 am and aims to address pressing security concerns in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Unified HQ serves as the chief command structure for security and intelligence operations in the region. Sources indicate that this meeting will focus on reviewing the current security scenario, winter preparedness, and recent escalations along the Line of Control (LoC) instigated by Pakistan.

During the meeting, LG Sinha will receive updates from high-ranking officials regarding the security landscape in Jammu and Kashmir, particularly regarding the LoC and international borders within the Union Territory. This comes in light of ongoing tensions and the need for enhanced security measures.

Attendees at this significant meeting include the Army’s Northern Commander, Lieutenant General Prateek Sharma, J&K Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat, Chief Secretary Atal Duloo, along with senior officials from various paramilitary forces and intelligence agencies.

In May this year, LG Sinha led the last UHQ meeting, following the successful implementation of ‘Operation Sindoor’. He emphasized the need for security forces to conduct “precise, intelligence-led operations” targeting terrorists and dismantling their support networks.
