Ramban, Sept 23: In a tragic event that has shaken the local community, two police officers were discovered lifeless inside a car at Ziarat Morh in the Sana area on Tuesday evening. This incident occurred around 8:30 PM, as reported by officials.
According to sources from Kashmir News Observer (KNO), locals found the officers unconscious in a Fiat Linea with the registration number JK-19/5299. Concerned citizens rushed them to the District Hospital in Ramban, where medical staff pronounced both dead upon arrival.
The deceased officers were identified as Head Constable Farid Ahmed (No. 408/Rbn) from Bhatti Ramban, and Selection Grade Constable Muhammad Yaqoob (No. 309/Rbn) from Jatgali Ramban. Both were serving at the District Police Lines in Ramban.
The hospital has retained the bodies for to conduct necessary medico-legal procedures. Meanwhile, authorities have not confirmed the exact cause of death, with investigations currently underway to uncover the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate episode.
The police have initiated formal inquiries into the case, aiming to determine the events that led to this shocking incident. Communities in the region are left in disbelief, as they await further information from the authorities.
